Project rationale
The Malawi Revenue Authority and Tanzania Revenue Authority adopted an Electronic Data Exchange System linking their customs platforms - TANCIS for TRA and ASYCUDA World for MRA.
Customs officers now have real-time access to one another's declarations and risk profiles, speeding up clearance and reducing opportunities for leakage.
